Montefalco rosso DOC

    Produced with Sangiovese grapes in prevalence, further to additions of Sagrantino and a small percentage of Merlot, it is a typical and very versatile wine, in degree to unite a beautiful complexity to a correct facility of drinks. Ideal messmate on every kind of tables.

    Grapes:Sangiovese Sagrantino Merlot

    Harvest: third ten days of September – first ten of October. Hand picked from the vines on the property.

    Fermentation: exclusively with natural ferments. The wine doesn’t undergo any form of stabilising or filtration. Possible sediments should be considered as a guarantee of genuineness.

    Maturation: in barrique for 6-7 months and in bottles from October 2010.

    Ageing: a wine which is able to age for at least 5-6 years if preserved in ideal conditions.

    2008 production: 12300 bottles 14% Vol

    Colour: intense ruby red with purplish tints
    Aroma: typical red fruit scents in particular cherry and violet with spicy hints and a slight scent of vanilla.
    Flavour: a well structured wine, harmonious, with sweet tannins and persistent flavour
    Ideal with: rich first courses, red and white meat, cold meats and flavoured cheeses. To be served at a temperature of about 18°C.
